First Layout for A DeBlogging Template

I am still playing with it but here is a start of a layout I am making for a template for my deblogging quest.

I want it to have this kind of look and on the inside when you click a category or a article title only the header, sidebar and the article with maybe an image. Every category should have an other header image or color to make it different.  The way I will do that is either using a different css style or having a seperate page per category. Not sure yet which path to take as both have their ups and downs.

But I think it is a nice template and when it´s ready with all the fancy php going on it will be a great succes

I love Wordpress … But

I love Wordpress… I really do. I like the way it gave me the abilty to setup a website in a few moments. I like the pulgins it gives me to attract more visitors, i love the way Google spiders my wordpress sites and I like the way it gives me to interact with visitors. The easyness of adding articles, pages and managing it all… I Love Wordpress

But when you build sites which would make you money..either adsense, affiliate or sales of products of your own you don’t always want the “blogging kind” of sites. But as I am in love with all the content management ways I do not want to fall back to coding my sites myself as I did in the old days. I know the times I went to www.oswd.org picked a template and started modifying everything and had to insert all content by hand in each page making sure I had all the navigation good …it was doable but it took time and if I am short of one thing it is time…

So what I did was dive into the wordpress code ( I know I said I didn’t wanted too) and saw things that made me realize that it was good possible to make a great site without the blogging feel.

This site is going to be about all that. Templates for websites with a great look and a fantastic backend (wordpress) without the looks of a blog.
